putting your items in our facility
1. Ask to personally inspect the storage unit that you will be renting. Make a list of the packing accessories you will need. Commonly used packing aids include such items as newsprint or wrapping paper, bubble-pack, tape, rope, boxes, wardrobe boxes and locks.

2. Do not lean items against walls. Leaving air space around the unit’s perimeters will aid in ventilation. Leave a walkway to the rear of the unit. Use all of the space available, including its height. Disassemble items such as bed frames and remove table legs if convenient.

3. Place frequently used seasonal items near the door, or where it is easily available.

4. Fill boxes to capacity. Partially full or bulging boxes may tip or collapse. Heavy items such as books or tools should be packed in small boxes. If a box is too heavy, it will be hard to lift and should be divided between two or more boxes.

5. Fragile items should be cushioned by packing and placed toward the top of the unit.

6. Label boxes and make a list of labeled boxes for reference when you need to locate your property. Inventory lists are available in the office.

7. Periodic unit visits and “dust covers” placed over clothing, electronics, mattress/box springs, and upholstery items are recommended.

8. In non-air conditioned units, do not cover items with plastic as moisture may collect and could possibly cause mold & mildew.

9. Storage of cars, trucks, motor cycles, boats, trailers and recreational vehicles are permissible. Proof of ownership is required. A copy of vehicle’s registration is to be included in tenant’s file.

You alone control access to your unit. The following items should never be placed in a storage unit:

* Anything illegal
* Food
* Highly flammable material
* Liquids
* Explosives
* Corrosives
* Hazardous or toxic waste
* People or animals.

The size of the unit will determine the cost. ABBY MINI STORAGE will recommend the smallest unit according  to your storage needs. Call for a full consultation.
